Physiotherapy

Physiotherapy is concerned with treatment and prevention of movement disorders. At this clinic the emphasis is on neuro-musculoskeletal conditions (nerves,muscles,bones). Conditions are treated using conventional treatment methods including; interferential current , tens, ultrasound, soft tissue techniques and exercise instruction. In addtion acupuncture can be utilized as a standalone treatment or combined with other modalities.


 

Maxine Koroscil, BRMPT

Maxine graduated from the University of Manitoba School of Medical Rehabilitation with a Bachelors Degree in Physiotherapy. While growing up Maxine loved sports, playing ringette, soccer and hockey, and found that physiotherapy was the perfect way to combine her passion for a healthy lifestyle with a desire to help others. She strives to provide the best service possible to her clients and continues to further her education through courses and certifications. Maxine has begun advanced orthopedics courses and will be taking her acupuncture certification this winter. In her free time, Maxine is also an avid runner, snowboarder and yoga enthusiast.

Maxine has had exposure to many aspects of physiotherapy, from cardiac rehabilitation, thoracic surgery, spinal cord injuries and neurological rehabilitation, however her focus is directed towards orthopedic rehab.

Maxine looks forward to working with her patients, helping them achieve their goals by providing an active approach to rehabilitation through a combination of patient education, manual therapy and exercise prescription.
