Chiropractors at Healthview focus primarily on musculoskeletal injuries. We support the guidlines from the Canadian Chiropractic Guideline Initiative (CCGI). Furthermore, cooperation, collaboration, and integration with our fellow musculoskeletal professionals such as medical doctors and physiotherapists and massage therapists are fundamental in successful patient outcomes.
About The Canadian Chiropractic Guideline Initiative
A chiropractors scope of practice is musculoskeletal impairments such as injuries of the spine and extremities.
Our practice includes adults of all ages and teens. In addition, we see numerous sports injuries.
Like adults, children can also be treated for musculoskeletal conditions and sports injuries. However, scientific research of the highest quality does NOT support the chiropractic treatment of children for conditions such as infant colic, bed-wetting, autism, ADD/ADHD, asthma or other paediatric disorders.

Manual therapy, or what some call an adjustment, is merely a tool as part of treatment: current guidelines and associated algorithms layout numerous treatment options for best results. Manual therapies can be a helpful tool in some instances, but they also have their limitations. At Healthview, chiropractic practitioners use recognized treatment, modalities, and rehabilitation techniques and follow CCGI recommendations whenever possible.
