Graston Technique

The Graston Technique is an instrument assisted soft tissue technique. Stainless steel tools to are used in soft tissue mobilizations. This technique may be used by chiropractors, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and massage therapists.

Graston Technique is a form of manual therapy using specially designed Graston tools and techniques. The theory behind this treatment is by introducing a mild inflammatory response, it can assist in healing, re-organization and mobility of the treated tissue.
Using a controlled amount of pressure and technique, the tool is applied to invoke a mild inflammatory response.  The theory is that the inflammatory response will add to, or invoke a healing process.
Graston Technique is the gold standard in instrument assisted soft tissue technique. There are other techniques however, no other techniques have yet to keep pace with the support or follow up with the research.
Graston is an instrument assisted technique practised at Healthview.
